pleasant stay but some room for improvement

The adjoining cabins worked perfectly for my family, providing space for our preschooler to play. The cleanliness throughout the cabins was impressive, which made the stay more enjoyable. I also appreciated the charming garden view from our balcony that added a nice touch to our mornings, enhancing our experience.

However, the overall feel of the place seemed a bit dated, which detracted from the experience.

    I came, I saw, I reviewed

The cozy adjoining cabins were perfect for our extended family, providing great space for our preschooler to play. The cleanliness was commendable, and the well-equipped kitchen was super handy for family meals. Plus, the location was spot-on for nearby attractions, with friendly staff always ready to assist. A value pick for family trips!

    comfortable bed
    clean bathroom
    garden view
    run-down areas
    missing cooking supplies

The Standard Queen Room was pretty cozy, with a comfortable bed that made for a decent night’s sleep. The bathroom was small but very clean, which was a plus. Wifi worked well, and the TV service was solid too. I loved the access to the balcony with a nice garden view—it made mornings feel pleasant. Just a heads-up, though—some areas feel a bit run-down, but it's part of the old charm. I appreciated that the kitchen had a full-size fridge and cook surface, but remember to bring your own cooking supplies!

    customer service

    poor communication

The customer service was amazing throughout our stay.

Our stay was incredibly disappointing. The air conditioning in the room didn't work properly, leaving us uncomfortably hot. Additionally, the lack of response at the front desk during check-in and throughout the night was frustrating. After complaining, we were shocked to find that our booked room was sold to someone else without our consent.

Our stay was fantastic! With plenty of open space for barbecues, a lovely garden view from our room, and easy access to local restaurants and Yosemite, we loved the unique charm of this place. The receptionist even gave us some great local tips that made our trip even better!

Felt very comfortable, no complaints whatsoever.

    noisy heater

I loved having two adjoining cabins for my family, giving us plenty of room to spread out. The sun terrace and garden area were fantastic spots to relax after a long day. The only hiccup was that the outdated heaters made some noise from time to time, but overall, it was a lovely stay! 🌞

    charming cottages
    quaint location
    historic feel
    outdated facilities

The unique cottages out back offer a distinct experience with a quaint feel, drawing you back to simpler times. You’re just 40 minutes away from Yosemite, making it convenient for outdoor adventures.

The entire place feels like it's stuck in a time warp—old and in need of major updates. The room's air conditioning is hit or miss, leading to uncomfortable nights. I found the thin walls resulted in disturbances from noisy neighbors, leaving little peace to rest. Parking options are limited, with not enough spots available when you come back late. The breakfast setup is lackluster, just barely meeting expectations and lacking variety.

    unique cottages
    great location
    great service
    cramped bathroom
    poor air conditioning
    noisy rooms

I loved the historic charm of Best Value Inn. The quaint feel reminded me of simpler times, especially the distinctive cottages out back. The location right on Main St was perfect. Checking in was easy and the front desk staff helped me find a great spot to grab dinner nearby. The room's view of the garden was a nice touch, making mornings pleasant. However, the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool, especially during the hotter parts of the day. The bathroom setup needed some updates because it felt cramped, and I noticed peeling paint above the window. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. it was basic and lacked variety. I also found the connecting door between rooms quite noisy, which made it tough to get a good night's sleep at times. Despite these issues, the overall atmosphere was cozy, and you can't beat the convenience for visiting local attractions.
